Delete your Visavi account

Steps in the app

1. Open the Visavi app and sign in.
2. Open the Profile tab.
3. Under Your data, tap Delete account.
4. Type the email address on the account.
5. Tap Delete account permanently.

That deletion starts immediately. It cannot be undone. You are signed out when it finishes.

If you cannot open the app

Email privacy@visavi.uk from the email address on the account. Use the subject “Delete my Visavi account”. We confirm it is your account, then delete it. Email requests are finished within 30 days.

Data we delete

When the account is deleted, we delete these from Visavi’s systems:

• Your sign-in: email, password hash, and any Google or Apple sign-in link.
• Your profile: name, visa status, job titles, the city you typed, travel distance, and work types.
• Your CV file, the text we extracted from it, tailored CV versions, and the PDFs.
• Cover letters, including a base letter if you pasted one.
• Applications, the answers you gave, the Visavi email address created for each application, and employer mail we stored.
• Your credit balance and the credit history we kept.
• Sign-in sessions.

Data we keep, and for how long

• App Store purchase records. Apple keeps the record of credits or a Visavi Pro subscription you bought under Apple’s own rules. We never had your card number, and we delete our copy of your credit history with the account. Deleting the Visavi account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your Apple account settings under Subscriptions.
• Google Play purchase records. Google keeps the record of credits or a Visavi Pro subscription you bought under Google’s own rules. We never had your card number, and we delete our copy of your credit history with the account. Deleting the Visavi account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions.
• Applications already sent. If you applied, that employer already has the CV and letter you sent. We delete our copy. We cannot delete the employer’s copy.
• Security logs. Server logs, including IP address, are kept for up to 30 days after they are written, including after the account is deleted, then removed. We do not use them to advertise.

We do not keep the deleted account for marketing, and we do not sell it.
