Terms of use
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Ramen Labs Ltd for using the Visavi apps and visavi.uk. Please read them before you use Visavi. We have put the most important parts in bold, including the main parts that limit what we are responsible for, but please read all of these terms. Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
The short version
This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what count.
- You must be 18 or over.
- Visavi helps you find UK jobs from employers who can sponsor a visa, tailors your CV and helps you apply. It is not immigration advice.
- We cannot promise a job, an interview, sponsorship or a visa. Employers make hiring decisions. The Home Office makes visa decisions.
- Our AI can make mistakes. Check what it writes before you send it. You are responsible for making sure everything you send is true.
- Applications go only with your go-ahead.
- Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play. You see any cost in the app before you commit. Nothing is charged if an application does not go.
- Visavi Pro renews automatically until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
- You can delete your account at any time. If you delete your account, your credit balance is deleted. Contact us first if you have unused paid credits. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel that in the App Store or Google Play.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Who we are and how to contact us
Visavi is run by Ramen Labs Ltd (Companies House listing in progress), a UK limited company. In these terms, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ mean Ramen Labs Ltd, and ‘you’ means the person using Visavi.
For help, questions and complaints, email hello@visavi.uk. For anything about your personal information, email privacy@visavi.uk.
If we need to contact you, we will use the email address on your account or your waitlist sign-up, or a message in the app.
About these terms
These terms cover:
- the Visavi apps for iOS and Android (‘the app’);
- this website, visavi.uk, including the sponsor checker, guides and other free tools (‘the website’);
- the Visavi waitlist and referral rewards; and
- the Visavi Creators programme.
Together we call these ‘Visavi’. If you are shown a link to these terms when you create an account, use the app, join the waitlist or apply to Visavi Creators, you agree to these terms by going ahead. If you do not agree, please do not use Visavi.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. The App Store or Google Play terms also apply to your download and to purchases.
Visavi is for your own personal job search. It is not for businesses, recruiters or agencies, or for applying on behalf of other people.
What you need. The app needs a compatible iOS or Android device and an internet connection. Any limits on what the app works with are shown on its App Store or Google Play page.
Who can use Visavi
- You must be 18 or over. By creating an account, joining the waitlist or applying to Visavi Creators, you confirm that you are. Visavi is not meant for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete their information.
- You must be able to make a legally binding agreement.
- Visavi is built for people looking for work in the UK. The jobs are UK jobs and the information is about UK rules. We do not promise that Visavi is suitable for use outside the UK. If you use it from another country, you are responsible for following your local laws.
- You may have one account. If we have closed an account of yours for breaking these terms, you must not create another one unless we agree.
What Visavi is, and what it is not
What Visavi does. Visavi shows UK jobs from employers on the Home Office register of licensed sponsors, or whose adverts say they sponsor. If an advert says it will not sponsor, we leave it out. Our checks read adverts automatically and may occasionally miss one, so always read the advert itself. For each job, Visavi shows the evidence it has and can give an AI verdict and match score. It tailors your CV and an optional cover letter, fills in application forms, helps you send applications, tracks them, and collects employer replies in one inbox.
What Visavi is not. Visavi is not:
- immigration advice or an immigration service (see ‘No immigration advice’ below);
- legal, financial or careers advice from a qualified professional;
- an employer, and it does not choose or put forward candidates for employers. You use Visavi for your own job search, and we send applications only on your instructions;
- a sponsor, or part of or connected with the Home Office or any other government body; or
- a guarantee of any outcome (see ‘No guarantees’ below).
No immigration advice
Visavi does not give immigration advice or immigration services. Ramen Labs Ltd is not registered with or regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (formerly called the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner, or OISC). It is not otherwise qualified to give immigration advice or immigration services under Part V of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999. We are not solicitors or barristers, and we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority or the Bar Standards Board.
Anything Visavi says about visas, sponsorship, the Graduate Route, salary thresholds or other immigration rules is general information only. This applies wherever we say it: in the app, on this website, in our guides, in emails and on social media. It is not advice about your situation. Immigration rules change often, and our information may be out of date. Where Visavi compares a salary with a Home Office going rate or the new-entrant threshold, the comparison is a general guide. Do not treat it as an assessment of your own circumstances. Whether the new-entrant rate or another rate applies to you depends on your own age, visa and study history, so check this on gov.uk or with a regulated adviser. A comparison does not tell you whether you would meet the salary rules for a visa.
Visavi does not:
- assess whether you qualify for a visa;
- tell you which visa to apply for; or
- help you fill in a visa application or deal with the Home Office for you.
Our team cannot answer questions about your own visa or immigration situation, whether by email, in the app or on social media. If you ask, we will point you to gov.uk or a regulated adviser. This includes questions about whether you qualify for a visa, whether a particular job would let you get or keep a visa, and what to tell the Home Office.
We use the visa details you enter to show you jobs and to fill in the answers you have given us. They are not an eligibility check.
Before you make any decision about your immigration status, always check gov.uk. If you need advice, talk to a regulated immigration adviser. You can find a regulated adviser on gov.uk.
No guarantees
We cannot and do not guarantee that using Visavi will get you a job, an interview, an offer, sponsorship, a certificate of sponsorship or a visa.
- A licence means an employer can sponsor. It is not a promise that they will, for any job or for you.
- A job appearing in Visavi does not mean that the job, or you, meet the Home Office rules for sponsorship, such as the rules on occupation and salary, or that the employer is licensed for the visa route you need. Check those rules on gov.uk, or with a regulated adviser, before you rely on them.
- What an advert says about sponsorship is the employer’s words. It is not a promise that they will sponsor you.
- Employers make hiring decisions and the Home Office makes visa decisions. We have no control over either.
- Verdicts such as ‘Strong apply’ and match scores are our estimate of how well a job fits your CV and preferences. They are not an assessment of whether you will be hired, sponsored or given a visa.
- Sponsor behaviour labels describe what the register shows about an employer’s past sponsoring. They do not predict what it will do for you.
- ‘Verified’ means the employer appeared on the register with an A-rated Skilled Worker or Scale-up licence on the date we last checked. It does not mean the employer will sponsor you or this job.
- Employers may not reply, may reply late, may close a job early or may turn down an application for any reason.
Job and register information
Job information comes from employer career sites, job boards and other job sources. Sponsor information comes from the Home Office register of licensed sponsors. We update this information regularly, but:
- adverts can change, close or be withdrawn without notice, and may contain mistakes made by the employer or job board;
- an employer’s licence can be granted, downgraded, suspended or revoked at any time, and the register may not show the change straight away;
- matching a job to the right employer on the register is not always perfect, and we can occasionally get it wrong;
- salary information, and comparisons with Home Office going rates or the new-entrant threshold, are a guide only. Do not treat them as an assessment of your own circumstances. Whether the new-entrant rate or another rate applies to you depends on your own age, visa and study history, and a comparison does not tell you whether a job meets the visa salary rules. Check gov.uk for the current rules;
- the check that warns you when an advert asks for existing right to work or security clearance may not catch every case; and
- the check that leaves out adverts saying they will not sponsor may not catch every one.
Check the advert and the employer’s own information before you rely on it.

AI-generated content
Visavi uses artificial intelligence (AI) to read jobs and to tailor your CV. It also uses AI to write optional cover letters and to produce verdicts and match scores, and runs automated checks to produce CV scores. AI is useful, but it can be wrong.
- AI content can contain mistakes. It may misread a job or your CV, leave out something important, or word something in a way you would not.
- Our CV tailoring works only from what your own CV shows, and it fact-checks each line against it. It is built never to invent experience, qualifications or skills, but like any AI it can still get things wrong, and no automated check is perfect. If you ever see something that is not true, do not send it, and please tell us.
- We never use AI to guess your answers about your visa, your right to work or your salary. Those answers come from you. If a CV, cover letter or answer mentions your visa or right to work, it uses only what you told us. Check that it is correct before you send it.
- The CV score, including ‘Your CV scored X. Now it scores Y.’, is our own check of how well your CV matches the job and how it is likely to read in applicant tracking systems. There is no industry-standard CV score. Our CV score, verdicts and match scores are guides only. They do not mean an employer or its applicant tracking system will score or treat your application the same way. Any CV score we show on this website or in our adverts is either marked as an example, or is backed by evidence we keep, and we say what it is based on.
- Our interview nudges and templates are written by our team, not by AI. They are general suggestions only.
You are responsible for what you send. Before you approve an application, check the CV, cover letter and answers. Everything you send to an employer must be true, and it must be yours to share. Sending false information to an employer can have serious consequences, including for your immigration status.
Our AI and document providers process what you give us so that Visavi can work. Where your information is processed outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum. See our privacy policy for details.
Applications sent with your approval
When you ask Visavi to apply for a job, the application goes one of three ways, depending on the job:
- it is sent for you, where the employer’s site allows it;
- it is filled in inside the app and sent when you tap Submit; or
- it is handed off to the employer’s own page, where you finish and send it yourself.
Applications go only with your go-ahead. Review-before-send is on by default, so you see each application before it goes. You may be able to turn review-before-send off. If you do, we will send the applications you ask for without showing you each one first, using your CV, saved answers and the content we create. That includes any answers about your visa or right to work. You will not get a chance to correct a mistake before it goes. Keep your CV, saved answers and settings up to date. This does not affect our responsibility for mistakes caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
When you approve an application, you ask us to send it on your behalf, following your instructions. We use the details you have given us and the answers you have saved. The employer receives the CV, cover letter and answers you approved. Every application is recorded in your tracker.
When an application ‘goes’. An application goes when it reaches the employer’s site or email address, whether we send it for you or you tap Submit in the app. If you finish an application yourself on the employer’s own page, the app shows any cost before you confirm. If an application does not go, you are not charged for it. After an application has gone, we cannot control whether the employer’s systems receive, read or keep it, so credits are not returned if an employer does not reply or later says it did not receive it, unless the failure was our fault.
When we may not send. We may refuse to send, pause or limit applications, or switch an employer to hand-off only, if we reasonably believe an application breaks these terms or the law, contains false information, or would break an employer’s or job board’s rules, or if an employer or job board asks us to stop. If we do, no credits are charged for that application. We will tell you in the app.
Employer sites have their own terms. Employers and job boards have their own terms and privacy notices. What they do with your application is up to them, and you are responsible for meeting any requirements they set.
We cannot control how an employer’s system handles an application. The tracker shows the status we have for each application. If you think an application was sent wrongly, tell us straight away (see ‘Complaints and contact’).
Once an application has gone, we cannot withdraw it or delete the employer’s copy. If you want to withdraw an application, contact the employer directly.
Application email addresses and your inbox
- Each application can get its own email address on apply.visavi.uk, so that employer replies reach your Visavi inbox.
- These addresses belong to us. You may use them for your applications only, and you cannot transfer them. They may stop working if you delete your account or we close it.
- When an employer writes to one of these addresses, we store some details of the message, and the message appears in your Visavi inbox. Our privacy policy explains this.
- We label messages to help you, for example as an interview, offer, confirmation or rejection. Labels can be wrong, so always read the messages yourself.
- We are not responsible for a message an employer does not send, or sends to a different address. We are also not responsible for messages that email systems outside our control block or delay.
- You can reply to employers from Visavi. Your replies must follow these terms.
Your account and keeping it safe
- You can sign up with an email and password, or with Google or Apple.
- Keep your sign-in details safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account, unless it was caused by our failure to keep it secure.
- Tell us straight away at hello@visavi.uk if you think someone else has used your account.
- Keep your profile information accurate and up to date.
- We send you the emails and app notifications needed to run your account and your applications. We send other messages only as our privacy policy explains.
Using Visavi fairly
You must use Visavi lawfully and honestly. You must not:
- give false or misleading information about yourself, your experience, your qualifications, your visa or your right to work;
- send applications you know contain false information;
- apply in someone else’s name, or use Visavi for anyone other than yourself;
- use Visavi for a business, a recruitment agency or any other commercial purpose;
- apply to employers you have no genuine interest in working for;
- harass, threaten or abuse any employer, recruiter or member of our team;
- scrape, copy, harvest or resell jobs, register data or other content from Visavi, except as the law or the licence for public data allows;
- try to get into parts of Visavi or our systems you are not allowed into, or test their security without our written permission;
- interfere with Visavi, including with bots, scripts or viruses, or by overloading it;
- copy, change, reverse-engineer or decompile the app, except as the law allows;
- get around limits, credit rules, referral rules or security measures, or create extra accounts to get free credits;
- use the application email addresses for anything other than your applications;
- upload anything you do not have the right to share, or anything unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful; or
- break the law, an employer’s terms or a job board’s terms.
Fair-use limits, such as a daily limit on applications, protect employers and the service. The app shows the limits that apply to you.
If you break these terms, you are responsible for any loss or damage this foreseeably causes us, for example if an employer or job board takes action against us because of applications you sent in breach of these terms. We may monitor use of Visavi to spot abuse, and we may close or limit an application email address that is being misused.
Credits, Visavi Pro and payments
The free start. Visavi is free to download. Every new account starts with 5 free credits, and swiping is always free. Some actions use credits, such as tailoring a CV and cover letter for a job, or completing and sending an application form for you.
You see the cost first. The app shows how many credits an action uses before you confirm it. We never charge for an application that does not go: a failed or abandoned apply is never charged.
Buying credits and Pro. You can buy credits and Visavi Pro subscriptions in the app, at the price shown in the app before you buy, which includes any VAT. Apple takes payment through the App Store, or Google takes it through Google Play, under their terms. We never see your card details.
- Credits you buy do not expire while your account is open.
- Credits have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another person or moved between accounts, except where the law requires it.
- We may give free credits, for example when you sign up, follow us on social media, get an interview invite or refer a friend. Free credits for following us never depend on liking, sharing, commenting on, reviewing or rating anything. These credits are given at our discretion and may have conditions, which are shown in the app. We can remove free credits that were obtained by breaking these terms.
- Visavi Pro gives you credits for each period you are subscribed.
- Pro renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- If the price of Pro changes, the App Store or Google Play will tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
- Deleting your Visavi account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play as well.
- If you delete your account, your credit balance is deleted. If you have unused paid credits, email hello@visavi.uk before you delete, and we will talk you through your options, including asking Apple or Google for a refund where their rules allow it. This does not affect your legal rights. If you want to end our agreement because of a change to these terms, you do not have to delete your account: see ‘Changes to Visavi and to these terms’.
Refunds. Apple and Google take payment, so a refund is usually made through them. You can ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or Google through Google Play help. Your legal rights are also against us. If something we supplied is faulty, not as described, or not provided with reasonable care and skill, tell us at hello@visavi.uk and we will put it right, or make sure you get the refund or price reduction the law gives you, even if the store says no.
If you are entitled to a remedy from us, we will first try to put things right, for example by fixing the problem, re-running the action or restoring the credits used. If that is not possible or does not work, and you are entitled to money back, we will arrange it through Apple or Google where they allow it. Where they do not, we will contact you to arrange it another way. Google may ask you to contact us directly about some Google Play refund requests. If it does, email hello@visavi.uk.
Your legal rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. In summary:
- Digital content. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content you pay for must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is faulty, you are entitled to a repair or a replacement. If that is not possible, or is not done within a reasonable time, you are entitled to some or all of your money back.
- Services. We must provide our services with reasonable care and skill. If we do not, you can ask us to put it right. In some cases you can get some money back.
- Cancelling purchases. You normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase. For digital content, such as a tailored CV, you lose the right to cancel once we start supplying it, but only if you gave your express consent to us starting straight away, acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel, and we sent you confirmation of this. For services, such as sending applications, if you asked us to start within the 14 days, you can still cancel within the 14 days, but we can keep a fair amount for what we have already done, for example credits you have already used.
- Subscriptions. Where the subscription contract rules in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 apply to Visavi Pro, you have the rights they give, and we will follow them.
For more information about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
The waitlist and referral rewards
The waitlist. Before launch, you can join the Visavi waitlist on this website. Joining is free. It does not create a Visavi account or commit you to anything.
- We send one email to confirm your address. Once you confirm, we will write when Visavi launches, and nothing else unless you ask.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
- We do not promise a launch date, or that everyone on the waitlist will get access at the same time.
- Your place. When we open access, we work out the launch order from when people joined, counting only people who confirmed their email. Each friend who joins through your link and confirms moves you further up the order. The number we show after you confirm is how many people had confirmed when you did. It is a guide to your starting place, not a fixed place in the queue, and referrals can change the order before launch.
Referral rewards. When you confirm, you get a personal referral link. The rewards and milestones are shown when you get your link. These rules apply:
- A referral counts only when a new person joins the waitlist through your link and confirms their email address. A referral is valid if it meets the rules in this section. If you think we have wrongly refused one, tell us at hello@visavi.uk and we will look again.
- Milestone rewards are based on the number of valid referrals you have when we open access. Rewards are given at launch, as credits or Pro time. They go into a Visavi account created with the same email address you used for the waitlist. If you do not create an account with that address, we may not be able to give you the reward.
- A Pro reward never turns into a paid subscription unless you are shown the price and agree to it first.
- Some referrals do not count. These include referring yourself, using more than one email address, using disposable or fake addresses, using bots, and any other way of inflating your count. We may refuse, cancel or take back rewards linked to them, and we may remove you from the waitlist.
- If you share your link publicly, for example on social media, make clear that you get a reward when people join. For example, add #ad or say ‘I get bonus credits if you join with my link’.
- Only share your link with people who are likely to want it. Do not spam it, post it in reviews, or say anything about Visavi that is not true.
- Rewards have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred.
- If we cannot give a reward in the form described, for example because of App Store or Google Play rules, we will give you a reward of at least equal value in the app instead.
- If Visavi does not launch, or we close the waitlist before launch, no referral rewards are due.
- We may change or end the referral scheme by giving notice. If we do, we will keep any reward you have already earned under the rules that applied at the time.
Visavi Creators
Visavi Creators rewards people for honest videos about their own job hunt with Visavi. The rewards are shown on the Visavi Creators page. If you apply or take part, these rules apply as well as the rest of these terms. If we ask you to sign a separate creator agreement, that agreement takes priority on anything it covers.
Who can take part. You must be 18 or over. There is no follower minimum.
Applying. We read every application and will reply to the ones we take forward. We decide who takes part, and we do not have to give a reason. We handle the details you send us as described in our privacy policy.
Your content must be honest and labelled.
- Every video you make for a reward is an advert, and it must be clearly labelled as one from the start. Put #ad at the very start of the caption, where people see it without tapping ‘more’. Also show ‘Ad’ on screen or say it at the start of the video. Use the platform’s paid partnership label as well, where there is one. This applies to every post, story or repost about Visavi you make while you take part, including posts with your invite link.
- Only describe your own real experience. Do not say anything that is untrue or that you do not believe.
- Only make claims about what Visavi does that appear on our website or that we have agreed in writing.
- Do not quote numbers or results, such as how many interviews you got, a CV score or how quickly you found a job, unless they are true for you, you can show us proof if we ask, and you make clear they are your own results.
- Do not say or suggest that Visavi guarantees a job, an interview, sponsorship or a visa, or that Visavi gives immigration advice.
- Do not give viewers advice about their own visa or immigration situation, in the video or in replies to comments. Point anyone who asks to gov.uk or a regulated immigration adviser. Do not say that an employer or job will sponsor someone.
- Do not post fake reviews, ratings or comments about Visavi or any other business. Do not review Visavi on the App Store or Google Play in return for a reward. If you review Visavi anywhere while you take part, say that you are a Visavi Creator.
- Follow the law, the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (CAP Code), the Competition and Markets Authority’s guidance and each platform’s advertising rules.
- Do not include other people’s personal information without their permission. Do not use content you do not have the rights to, such as music that is not licensed for your use.
Checking and rewards. Every video is checked before rewards are paid, and every video must be labelled #ad. We are responsible for adverts made for us, so we check every video made for a reward. Send us the link to each video within a reasonable time of posting it. We decide whether a video is approved against the rules in this section. We will not pay rewards in these cases, and we may take back rewards already paid:
- the video breaks these rules;
- the views were bought or generated artificially; or
- we reasonably suspect fraud.
If we ask you to fix a label or remove a claim, do it as soon as you reasonably can, and remove a video straight away if we tell you it may be misleading or unlawful. If you do not, we may withhold rewards for that video and ask you to take it down. We keep a record of each video, its label, our decision and any reward, so we can show our adverts follow the rules.
View bonuses. View bonuses are based on the view count the platform shows 7 days after the video is posted. You may need to send us a screenshot as evidence. Only the highest tier you reach is paid.
The monthly leaderboard. Before each leaderboard period starts, we will tell you its rules, including the period it covers, which videos count, how they are ranked, how ties are decided and how winners are told. We will make the first name and area of each winner available on request, unless the winner objects. We will only change the leaderboard rules with notice before a period starts.
Invite credits. You get 10 free credits for each friend who joins Visavi through your invite link, up to 50 credits a month. The referral rules in ‘The waitlist and referral rewards’ about what does not count apply here too. Credits go into the Visavi account that uses the email address you applied with.
Payment and tax. We will tell you how and when we pay cash rewards, and what details we need to pay you. We may withhold a reward until you give us the details we need to pay it. You are responsible for any tax due on rewards you receive. Taking part does not make you our employee, worker, agent or partner.
Your videos. You keep ownership of your videos. We will only share, repost or use your video in our own social media or adverts if you agree. If we share or reuse your video, we will make clear that it is a Visavi advert.
We may change or end Visavi Creators by giving notice. We will honour rewards you have already earned under the rules that applied at the time.
Reviews and testimonials
We follow the rules on fake and misleading reviews in Schedule 20 to the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. This is how we handle reviews:
- We do not write, commission, buy or publish fake reviews or ratings, and we do not ask anyone to write them for us.
- We do not show made-up or sample reviews, ratings or quotes as if they came from real users, anywhere in the app, on this website, in app store listings or in our adverts.
- We take reasonable and proportionate steps to stop fake reviews and hidden paid-for reviews appearing anywhere we publish reviews, and to remove them if they do.
- We never make a reward depend on a review or rating being positive.
- If we ask you to rate or review Visavi, we do not first check whether you are happy, and we do not ask only the people we expect to leave a good review.
- We do not hide, delete or play down genuine reviews that we publish or show because they are negative. We do not present reviews in a misleading way, for example by showing only the best ones or showing old reviews as if they were new. On our own channels we may remove reviews that are fake, unlawful, abusive or contain someone’s personal information.
- When someone gets something from us in return for a review or for content about Visavi, such as a Visavi Creators reward, we require it to be clearly labelled.
- People who work on Visavi, and their friends and family, do not review Visavi without clearly saying how they are connected to us.
- We do not offer rewards for ratings or reviews on the App Store or Google Play.
- We only publish a named testimonial if it is the real words of a real person who has used Visavi and has given us permission. We do not change their words in a way that changes the meaning. We keep a record showing it is genuine, we say if the person received anything from us, and we remove it if it stops being accurate.
Our early-tester rating. Our website says: ‘Built and tested with 100+ early users: every one rated the system five stars.’ This covers every rating we received from the people who tested a pre-launch version of Visavi, and we have not left any rating out. If anyone who rated the app received anything for taking part, or was connected with our team, we say so next to the claim. The app may have changed since they tested it. We keep a record of these ratings, and we will update or remove this statement if it stops being accurate.
If you leave a review. Your review of Visavi must be your own honest opinion, based on your real experience. If you are connected with us, say so. If you think a review about Visavi is fake, tell us at hello@visavi.uk.
Your content and how we use it
‘Your content’ means anything you give us, such as your CV, profile, answers, messages and files. It also covers the CVs, cover letters and answers we create for you from it.
You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, adapt, format and send your content so that we can run Visavi for you, keep it secure, prevent fraud and abuse, deal with legal claims and meet our legal obligations, as described in our privacy policy. This includes:
- tailoring your CV and writing cover letters;
- sending the applications you approve to employers; and
- sharing your content with the service providers who help us run Visavi, as described in our privacy policy.
This licence ends when you delete your content or your account, with two exceptions. Employers keep their copies of applications already sent. We may also keep some copies for a limited time, as set out in our privacy policy or as the law requires.
You can use the CVs, cover letters and answers we create for you in your own job search, free and for as long as you like. Our templates, designs and software stay ours.
You promise that your content is true and that you have the right to share it. Only include other people’s personal information where they would expect it, such as a referee’s contact details they have agreed to share.
We do not sell your content and we do not use it for advertising. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely without paying you.
Our content and your licence to use Visavi
Ramen Labs Ltd or our licensors own the Visavi apps, this website, our software, text and designs, and the mascot, logos and brand.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to:
- download the app and use it on devices you own or control; and
- use the website.
You may use them only for your own job search and in line with these terms. You must not copy, sell, rent, sublicense or change Visavi. You must not use our brand without our written permission.
Public data we show, such as the Home Office register, stays under its own licence. See data sources.
Other services and links
Visavi links to and works with services we do not control. These include employer sites, job boards, the App Store, Google Play, Google and Apple sign-in, and social media. Their own terms and privacy notices apply. We are not responsible for their content, their availability or what they do with your information, beyond our own duties under data protection law.
Links to other sites are for information. Showing a job or linking to a site does not mean we endorse that employer or site.
Stay safe. Be wary of anyone who asks you to pay them for a job offer or a certificate of sponsorship. If that happens, stop, tell us at hello@visavi.uk and check the guidance on gov.uk.
Apple App Store and Google Play
Apple App Store. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, these extra terms also apply. If they conflict with the rest of these terms, they take priority, but only as between you, us and Apple, and only to decide whether Apple or we are responsible. They do not increase our liability to you beyond ‘Our responsibility for loss or damage’.
- Acknowledgement. These terms are between you and Ramen Labs Ltd only, not Apple. Ramen Labs Ltd, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Scope of licence. Your licence to use the app cannot be transferred. It covers use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions allow. Other accounts linked to you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing may also use the app, where those are available.
- Maintenance and support. Ramen Labs Ltd is solely responsible for maintaining and supporting the app, as these terms describe or as the law requires. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- Warranty. Ramen Labs Ltd is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they are not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any) to you. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. As between Ramen Labs Ltd and Apple, any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses from a failure to meet a warranty are Ramen Labs Ltd’s responsibility, not Apple’s. Nothing in this section limits your rights against Ramen Labs Ltd under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Product claims. Ramen Labs Ltd, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with any claims by you or a third party about the app or your possession or use of it. These include product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property claims. A third party may claim that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights. If so, Ramen Labs Ltd, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo or that the US Government has designated as a ‘terrorist supporting’ country. You also confirm that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Send questions, complaints or claims about the app to Ramen Labs Ltd at hello@visavi.uk.
- Third-party terms. When you use the app, you must follow any third-party terms that apply, such as your mobile data or wireless service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. When you accept these terms, Apple will have the right (and will be treated as having accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Google Play. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service and Google’s payment terms also apply to your download and your purchases. These terms are between you and Ramen Labs Ltd, not Google. Google is not responsible for the app or for supporting it. Google handles Google Play purchases and refunds under its own policies, and your legal rights against us still apply (see ‘Credits, Visavi Pro and payments’).
Suspending or ending your use
You can stop at any time. You can stop using Visavi and delete your account at any time. In the app, go to Profile, then Your data, then Delete account. You can also email privacy@visavi.uk. See delete your account for what is deleted and what is kept.
When you delete your account:
- deletion starts straight away and cannot be undone;
- your credit balance is deleted (see ‘Credits, Visavi Pro and payments’ for unused paid credits);
- any subscription continues until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play; and
- employers keep their copies of applications already sent.
We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe that:
- you have seriously or repeatedly broken these terms;
- you have used Visavi fraudulently or unlawfully; or
- you have put other users, employers or Visavi at risk.
We may also suspend or close your account if the law or a regulator requires it. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. In urgent cases, such as fraud or a security risk, we may act straight away and tell you afterwards. While your account is suspended, we may pause applications that have not yet been sent.
If we close your account because you seriously or repeatedly broke these terms or used Visavi fraudulently, you will lose any free credits. You will also lose any paid credits that were bought, used or obtained as part of that breach. For any other unused paid credits, you keep your legal rights.
We may also stop offering the app or close Visavi. If we close Visavi, or close your account when you have not broken these terms, we will give you reasonable notice where we can. You keep your legal rights for anything you have paid for and not received, including unused paid credits and the unused part of any Pro period, and we will arrange any refund you are due as described in ‘Credits, Visavi Pro and payments’.
Some parts of these terms are meant to continue after your account ends, such as those on applications already sent, responsibility for loss, and law and courts. They will continue to apply.
Our responsibility for loss or damage
What we are responsible for. If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen. It is also foreseeable if, when you agreed to these terms, both of us knew it might happen.
What we never limit. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit, such as your right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and your right to get back the price you paid for a service if we did not provide it with reasonable care and skill;
- your rights under data protection law, including your right to compensation; and
- anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
If faulty digital content damages your device. Digital content we supplied might damage a device or digital content that belongs to you because we did not use reasonable care and skill. If so, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. We are not responsible if you could have avoided the damage by installing a free update we advised, or by meeting the minimum system requirements we told you about (see ‘What you need’ in ‘About these terms’).
What we are not responsible for. Except for the things listed under ‘What we never limit’, we are not responsible for:
- decisions or actions of employers, recruiters, job boards, the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration or any other third party. This includes not hiring you, not sponsoring you, refusing or cutting short a visa, or not replying;
- losing a job, interview, offer, sponsorship, certificate of sponsorship or visa, or the chance to get one, where the loss is caused by a third party’s decision or action, or by information you gave us that was false, incomplete or out of date. This does not apply where the loss was caused by content we created that broke our promises in ‘AI-generated content’ (for example, invented experience) and that we should reasonably have caught, or by our failure to use reasonable care and skill;
- loss caused by inaccurate or out-of-date information in adverts, the Home Office register or other third-party sources, where we took reasonable care in showing it;
- loss caused by information you gave us that was false, incomplete or out of date, or by a mistake in an application you checked and approved that you could reasonably have spotted, unless it was caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill;
- decisions you make about your immigration status, studies, work or money based on general information from Visavi;
- problems caused by things outside our control, such as employer sites, job boards, email providers, the App Store, Google Play, your device or your internet connection;
- loss or damage that was not foreseeable; and
- business losses. Visavi is for personal use only, so we are not responsible to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Our overall limit. Except for the things listed under ‘What we never limit’, if you have paid us for Visavi, our total liability to you for all claims connected with Visavi, including claims that we did not use reasonable care and skill, is limited to the greater of (a) the total you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, including payments made through the App Store or Google Play, and (b) the price you paid for the service or digital content the claim is about. If you have not paid us anything, this limit does not apply. We are then responsible only for foreseeable loss caused by our breach, as explained above.
We provide Visavi with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will always be available or uninterrupted, and we will try to fix problems within a reasonable time. This does not affect your rights for digital content that is faulty or damages your device (see above).
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Examples include:
- failures of internet, hosting or email providers;
- cyber attacks we could not reasonably prevent;
- changes made by Apple, Google, employers or job boards;
- changes to the law or to Home Office systems; and
- strikes, fire, flood, pandemic or government action.
If this happens, we will tell you where we can and take reasonable steps to limit the effect. If a delay lasts a long time and affects something you have paid for, you can contact us to end that service. You keep your legal rights to a refund for anything you have paid for and not received, given as described in ‘Credits, Visavi Pro and payments’.
Changes to Visavi and to these terms
Changes to Visavi. We may change, add or remove features or job sources only to keep Visavi working well or improve it, to reflect changes in the law or in the services we rely on, or for security. If a change significantly reduces something you have already paid for, we will tell you. You can then contact us to end the contract and get a refund for what you have paid for and not received, as described in ‘Credits, Visavi Pro and payments’.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms only to reflect changes to Visavi, changes in the law or regulators’ guidance, changes to the services we rely on (such as the App Store, Google Play or our providers), or to improve security. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email, giving you reasonable advance notice before it takes effect. The exception is a change that is needed sooner for legal or security reasons.
If you do not agree with a change, you can end our agreement before it takes effect, and we will arrange any refund you are due for unused paid credits or the unused part of a Pro period, through Apple or Google where they allow it, or as described in ‘Credits, Visavi Pro and payments’. You do not have to delete your account to do this: email hello@visavi.uk. If you keep using Visavi after the change takes effect, the new terms apply. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last updated.
Complaints and contact
If you are unhappy with Visavi, or you think an application was sent wrongly, please tell us at hello@visavi.uk. Include the email address on your account and as much detail as you can, such as the job and the date. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within a reasonable time.
You can also raise complaints about payments or refunds with Apple or Google. Send complaints about your personal information to privacy@visavi.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office; see our privacy policy.
If we cannot resolve your complaint, we will tell you whether an alternative dispute resolution scheme can help. You can also get help from Citizens Advice.
Your privacy
Our privacy policy explains:
- how we collect and use personal information;
- the lawful bases we rely on;
- who we share it with;
- how long we keep it; and
- your rights.
We do not show ads and we do not sell personal information.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. So is any dispute or claim connected with them or with Visavi. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in Scotland. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
Nothing in these terms takes away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the part of the UK or the country where you live.
Other important terms
- Transferring these terms. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if our business is sold. We will tell you, and we will make sure the transfer does not reduce your rights. If you are unhappy, you can end our agreement. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written agreement.
- Other people’s rights. These terms are between you and us. Apple and its subsidiaries can enforce them, as set out in ‘Apple App Store and Google Play’. Otherwise no one else has any right to enforce them, including under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
- If a part is invalid. Each part of these terms works separately. If a court or authority decides that any part is unlawful or unenforceable, the rest stays in full force.
- Delay is not waiver. If we do not insist straight away that you do something, or we delay taking action, we can still do so later.
- What makes up our agreement. Our agreement with you is made up of these terms, our privacy policy and any terms the app shows you for a specific feature. Anything we tell you about Visavi, in the app or on this website, that you take into account when deciding to use or pay for Visavi also forms part of our agreement, as the law provides.
- Notices. Send any formal notice or claim to us at hello@visavi.uk. We will send notices to you at the email address on your account or your waitlist sign-up, or in the app. We do not file a separate copy of these terms for you. This page always shows the current version, and you can save or print it.
- Language. These terms are available in English only.
